It has emerged that Hüseyin Gün, who is accused of espionage, organized a meeting in London with AKP ministers based on his statements. While a photo taken during the meeting shows current MIT President İbrahim Kalın in attendance, striking criticisms regarding the meeting have come from the opposition front.
CHP Group Deputy Chair Ali Mahir Başarır used notable expressions following Gün's statements, recalling the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İmamoğlu, who was arrested on 'espionage' charges.
Stating that what has transpired is a dirty perception operation, Başarır asked for what purpose this meeting was held and used the following expressions:
"Here, it has been revealed what kind of dirty order and dirty perception operation we are facing.
Hüseyin Gün, who has emerged today with espionage slander against us, was mediating for this government 15 years ago at a meeting in the House of Lords.
As will be recalled; 2010 was a critical year.
It was the date when the judiciary was handed over to FETÖ and the Ergenekon and Balyoz plots were put into practice in this country!
Now I ask; what were the important AKP figures of the period and your current MIT president holding a meeting about through this slanderer Hüseyin Gün?
This government is a threat to 86 million people, to democracy, and to our future!
Anyone who loves their country and their homeland must demand an election!"
Here, it has been revealed what kind of dirty order and dirty perception operation we are facing.
