The incident occurred around 03:00 on 29 Ekim Street in the Yenibosna Merkez neighborhood. According to information obtained, police teams patrolling in Bahçelievler noticed a vehicle without license plates. The vehicle, which was signaled to stop due to suspicion, continued to flee despite all warnings.

As police teams pursued the vehicle, it was learned that the car hit a speed bump on 29 Ekim Street, causing it to malfunction and stop running. As the vehicle slowed down, the suspects jumped out and began to flee on foot. The vehicle, with its handbrake not engaged, continued to roll while empty.

It was learned that the police vehicle swerved in front of the moving suspect vehicle to stop it and prevent any negative outcome. The suspects jumped from the vehicle before it had fully stopped and began to flee on foot.

While police teams were examining the vehicle abandoned at the scene, they found a license plate in the trunk. However, checks revealed that the 34 GHY 612 plate found in the trunk did not belong to the vehicle, and that the vehicle itself was stolen and had been wanted since February 10.

Two long-barreled weapons, an AK-47 and a Scorpion, along with magazines and ammunition for these weapons, were found on the front and back seats of the vehicle left behind by the suspects. Crime scene investigation teams conducted work on the vehicle, which contained weapons known as Kalashnikovs and Scorpions, as well as magazines and ammunition.

One of the suspects attempting to flee the scene on foot was apprehended before getting very far. Police teams have launched an operation to capture the driver of the vehicle who fled. The captured suspect has been taken into custody.

It was learned that the police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
