Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan made statements at the meeting of provincial heads and provincial inspectors held at his party's headquarters.
Stating that Turkey and the region are going through the most difficult periods in the history of the Republic, Arıkan noted that the nation has reached the point of losing hope, and explained that as a party, their job is to revive and liberate this hope.
Speaking about inflation figures, Arıkan said, "You think you can fix the economy by changing ministers and figures, and you are wrong again."
Criticizing the hikes in electricity and natural gas, Arıkan stated that this hike is a shadow falling on the kitchen, the living room, and the children's room.
Expressing that the government and the main opposition are united on the boycott agenda but on opposite sides regarding the boycott list, Arıkan used the expression, "We find it wrong to target companies, tradespeople, and artists under the name of a boycott solely based on their political preferences."
Calling on the government, Arıkan assessed, "If your intention is truly to prevent corruption, come let us audit all municipalities regardless of party affiliation. For this, let us establish a commission in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey where all parties are represented. Let us first examine the metropolitan cities, and then all city and district municipalities."
