A dispute broke out between CHP and AKP members when Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek arrived at Parliament to be sworn in as Minister of Justice, and Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi arrived to be sworn in as Minister of Interior.

A dispute broke out between the CHP and AKP during the oath-taking ceremony for Akın Gürlek and Mustafa Çiftçi. A scuffle occurred around the podium, and AKP's Osman Gökçek punched CHP's Mahmut Tanal. Tanal was seen with a bleeding nose. It was stated that Tanal has been hospitalized.

CHP deputies argued that Gürlek could not take the oath, claiming he had not resigned from his position as Chief Public Prosecutor. The AKP opposed this claim, stating that the process was in accordance with the Constitution. Deputy Speaker of the TBMM Bekir Bozdağ also stated that there was no procedural error.

TANAL'S NOSE BLED, HE WAS HOSPITALIZED

As soon as Bozdağ invited Gürlek to the podium to take the oath, CHP deputies headed toward the podium in protest. Following this, AKP deputies also went to the podium, and tensions in Parliament rose. During the ensuing scuffle, it was observed that AKP Ankara Deputy Osman Gökçek punched CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal. Images of Tanal's bleeding nose drew attention.

SERVET MULLAOĞLU ALSO HOSPITALIZED

Tanal was taken to the hospital. It was learned that Servet Mullaoğlu was also assaulted along with Tanal. It was stated that Mullaoğlu also fell ill as a result of the blows he received and was hospitalized.
