Major investment from IMM in Beyoğlu: New pedestrian paths to be built
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is launching a significant road and landscaping project in Beyoğlu. The 2,350-meter route between the Sütlüce D-100 Connection and Şişhane Refik Saydam Street will be redesigned with new roads and 30,000 square meters of pedestrian space.

According to the statement made by IMM, the Beyoğlu Sütlüce D-100 Connection to Şişhane Refik Saydam Street Road Route and Green Space Arrangement Project will be carried out.
ROAD WORK IN ISTANBUL
Within the scope of the project, 30,000 square meters of pedestrian space will be arranged along a total road route of 2,350 meters.
As part of the project, a total of 50,000 square meters of green space will be redesigned in the parks located in the region, including Şehit Şeyhmuz Demir (Hasköy Park), Cezayirli Hasan Paşa, Şişhane, and the seaside parks in Karaköy.
Within the scope of infrastructure projects, rehabilitation and renewal works will be carried out for the region's rainwater, wastewater, drinking water, natural gas, electricity, and fiber optic line infrastructures. As part of the work, a 165-meter-long wall will be built, and a vehicle underpass will also be constructed.
MELEK STREET TO BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC UNTIL AUGUST 31
During the works, Melek Street in the Camii Kebir neighborhood will be closed to traffic from January 18 until August 31.
While IETT and minibus lines will continue to operate using the Kasımpaşa-Hasköy Tunnel, the Deniz Hastanesi and Yeniçeşme stops will be temporarily taken out of service. To facilitate access to the Yeniçeşme stop, free shuttle services will be organized from the Hasköy Park stop. A temporary pedestrian bridge will be built within the project boundaries to ensure pedestrian crossings.
