The Social Security Institution (SSI) has intensified its inspections to detect fake insurance and "favor-based insurance" practices. Findings made through AI-supported examinations can lead to consequences that may go as far as the cancellation of the retirement of individuals shown as insured and the initiation of legal processes.

650 THOUSAND RETIREMENTS CANCELLED

In the inspections carried out by the SSI over the last 5 years, the retirement status of approximately 650 thousand people who were shown as insured despite not actually working was cancelled. In the analyses performed with new-generation algorithms, fake workplaces and false insurance declarations are rapidly detected, ensuring that irregularities are prevented.

WHAT DO THE LETTER CODES IN E-DEVLET RECORDS MEAN?

Experts explain the meaning of the letter codes found in the e-Devlet service statement as follows:

K (Controlled): Indicates that the workplace is under investigation.

Ş (Suspicious): Indicates that there is a suspicion of serious irregularity in the insurance declaration.

S (Fake): Indicates that the transaction has been confirmed as fake. In this case, premiums are deleted and retirement is cancelled.

It is stated that the "S" code, in particular, points to heavy sanctions and can lead to serious consequences.

DEMAND FOR REPAYMENT WITH INTEREST FROM THE SSI

Not only are the pensions of those who retired through fraudulent methods cut, but the SSI also demands the repayment of the pension payments made and the cost of health services provided, along with legal interest. The process can go as far as foreclosure proceedings and prosecution on charges of "forgery of official documents."
