Major operation in 81 provinces: 4,466 fugitives captured

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 4,466 fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants were captured during the 'Çember-19' operations conducted across 81 provinces over the last 5 days.

The Gendarmerie, Police, and Coast Guard Command conducted the 'Çember-19' operation targeting wanted individuals across 81 provinces.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 4,466 fugitives were captured as a result of the operation.

Yerlikaya provided the following information regarding the operation:

Duration of the wanted status of the captured individuals:

Wanted for 0-5 years:

4,436 individuals,

Wanted for 5-10 years:

06 individuals,

Wanted for 10 years or more:

11 individuals were captured in the "ÇEMBER-19" operations.

Crimes for which the captured individuals were wanted:

691 individuals for theft,

383 individuals for fraud,

159 individuals for robbery,

79 individuals for homicide,

116 individuals for sexual offenses,

85 individuals for terror-related crimes,

718 individuals for narcotics-related crimes,

434 individuals for KOM (Smuggling and Organized Crime), and including those captured for other crimes, a total of

4,466 individuals were delivered to justice.”
