According to the information received, fishermen notified the police and medical teams after noticing odors coming from an unused boat moored to the shore at the point where Menekşe Creek meets the sea.
Medical teams determined that the person lying motionless inside the boat had passed away.
In their initial investigation at the scene, police teams determined that the body, which had no identification on it, belonged to a man in his 40s.
Following the examinations, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
