Man kills dog in Ankara, his defense is shocking: 'The state passed a law'

A man who killed a puppy with a pitchfork in Ankara pointed to the law passed by Parliament, stating, "The state passed a law to kill dogs."

While reactions continue regarding the stray animal law passed by Parliament, a person identified as S.M.A. was taken into custody for killing a puppy on the street in Ankara with a pitchfork.

Haydar Özkan, the 2nd President of the Animal Rights Confederation, made a statement regarding the incident.

Özkan stated, "Encouraged by the massacre law, the psychopathic individual named S.M.A. killed the animal by striking it repeatedly with a pitchfork, an agricultural tool, in Çimenceğiz, Polatlı, Ankara. We demand that the Polatlı District Governorate take the necessary action."

'THE STATE PASSED A LAW'

In a statement made by the Polatlı District Gendarmerie Command, it was said, "The individual has been taken into custody. Following the procedures here, we referred him to the judicial authorities, and the necessary proceedings by the judicial authorities are ongoing."

In the footage shared on social media, the person who killed the dog was heard saying, "The state passed a law to kill dogs."
