Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek hospitalized after electric shock

Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek has been hospitalized following an electric shock. Zeyrek, who was resuscitated with CPR, has been admitted to intensive care.

Zeyrek was seriously injured after suffering an electric shock at his home.

Following initial intervention at his home, Mayor Zeyrek was taken to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital. It has been learned that Mayor Zeyrek's condition is critical.

According to the information received, Zeyrek was electrocuted while attempting to check a malfunction in the machine room of the pool in the garden of his home in the Keçiliköy neighborhood.

After his family notified the 112 Emergency Health teams, medical personnel arrived at the scene, performed CPR on Mayor Zeyrek, and transported him to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital.

It was reported that Mayor Zeyrek's condition is critical and he has been placed in intensive care.

The following statement was made on Ferdi Zeyrek's X social media account:

"Our Metropolitan Mayor, Mr. Architect Ferdi Zeyrek, has been seriously injured due to an electric shock following an unfortunate accident at his home this evening. Our Mayor's treatment is continuing in intensive care under the supervision of our doctors at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital, where he was taken after the initial intervention at his home. We kindly request that posts made outside of our official accounts be disregarded."

STATEMENT FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL REGARDING ZEYREK'S HEALTH STATUS

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made the following statement regarding the health status of Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who was hospitalized:
