Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş made significant statements at the Mayors' Meeting held at his party's headquarters. Yavaş drew attention to the situation of Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, who is going through difficult times in prison due to health problems.

In his speech before the meeting, Yavaş said, "It is unacceptable for Murat Çalık to be kept in prison with these severe health problems. A trial cannot be held after his death, and he cannot be brought back. He must be released immediately. Murat Çalık's death would be a premeditated murder. They must put an end to this situation as soon as possible."

Yavaş also stated that they believe Çalık is innocent, adding, "While those who commit billions in fraud walk free, we believe our friend is innocent. The other defendants should also be tried without arrest."
