Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş intervened before the expulsion and disciplinary decisions against provincial chairs, attempting to halt the process.

According to tv100, it has emerged that Yavaş stepped in before the decision was made. It was learned that Yavaş sent a message to the headquarters requesting that the expulsion process against the provincial chairs be stopped, but his efforts did not yield results.

According to reports from behind the scenes, Yavaş did not hold a direct meeting with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. However, in his contacts with the headquarters, he conveyed his view that the expulsion decisions against the provincial chairs would not be correct.

It was learned that Yavaş argued that the tension within the party should not grow further and assessed that the expulsion of the provincial chairs could lead to new fractures within the CHP base.

EFFORTS DID NOT YIELD RESULTS

However, these efforts by Yavaş were not enough to change the decision-making process.

With the decisions announced by CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı, some provincial chairs were referred to disciplinary committees, and dismissals and new appointments were also made in various provincial organizations.
