Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş visited Kahramanmaraş on the 2nd anniversary of the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş. As part of his contacts in the earthquake zone, Yavaş visited Dulkadiroğlu Mayor Mehmet Akpınar.
Making statements, Yavaş said, “We try to come here often. Our Dulkadiroğlu Mayor still has some complaints about not being treated equally. I hope there will be no such discrimination in the earthquake zone.”
Mansur Yavaş used the following expressions in his statement:
"We try to come here often. Our mayor still has some complaints about not being treated equally. I hope there will be no such discrimination in the earthquake zone. Kahramanmaraş must get back on its feet as soon as possible. We have met with both the Pazarcık Municipality and our Türkoğlu Municipality. We are building a municipal building in the Nurhak district. We are building a park in Pazarcık. If there are deficiencies here, as the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, we will continue to keep our hands here as we did two years ago, as much as our strength allows. By working hand in hand, the municipality and the government will work to ensure that Kahramanmaraş returns to normal as soon as possible."
In his speech, reminding that CHP leader Özgür Özel will also come to Kahramanmaraş tomorrow, Mansur Yavaş said, "After the examinations they will conduct here, they will carry the problems to the Parliament through the deputies. On this occasion, I once again wish Kahramanmaraş a speedy recovery; I hope we will carry out our work by joining hands," he stated.
