Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş stated in a post on his social media account that exam fee support will be provided to children of families receiving social support who will take the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).
Yavaş included the following statements in his announcement:
"The YKS exam fee has increased by 291% in the last 3 years!
2023: 115 TL › 2024: 295 TL › 2025: 450 TL
Young people; we are always by your side. Just keep studying! We are providing exam fee support to the children of our families receiving social support; and we will continue to do so. Equal opportunity in education is our priority."
