Following AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan's 'shake them' remark directed at Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan regarding the collection of SGK (Social Security Institution) debts from CHP-run municipalities, the political agenda has begun to discuss this issue once again.
While CHP-run municipalities expressed their reactions to the 'shaking' instruction given, a noteworthy post came from Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
Sharing a news report on his social media account regarding Melih Gökçek, who managed Ankara for a long time and was heavily criticized by the opposition for his expenditures during that period, Yavaş alluded to the debts forgiven during Gökçek's tenure, tagged Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, and asked the following question:
"A page from history. Let's refresh our memories. You have shaken them quite badly, Vedat Işıkhan... The current figure is 10 billion."
