Mansur Yavaş: They want to silence mayors

In his speech, where he touched upon the economic repercussions of the unjust decisions taken, Yavaş stated the following:

This is a clear threat directed at the will of the people, at democracy, and at the popular will, whereas Nevruz is a symbol of rebirth and resistance against captivity. We will overcome the walls of oppression, fear, and injustice together with the power of the people, because this nation protects its will, because this nation is a hope that sprouts from beneath the soil every single time.

Through the operations carried out, they want to silence mayors, and justice is being disregarded.

In these lands, justice will sprout again, and brotherhood, freedom, and democracy will grow once more.

Dear residents of Ankara, when there is no law and democracy in the country, there is no bread, there is no peace, and the youth become hopeless...

It is the duty of those who govern the state to listen to, understand, and fulfill the demands of the youth instead of pushing them around.

It is the state's duty to eliminate the reasons why young people take to the streets; this is how democracy develops.

People are on the streets, university students are on the streets; young people, do not put yourselves in the wrong while you are in the right. Use your rights, but do not allow your efforts to seek justice to be exploited.

We must be absolutely careful against provocative circles; young people, do what is worthy of you, and use your democratic rights to the fullest. After what happened on March 19, Turkey has gone back two years.

The economic pressures applied to low-income groups were thrown away in a single day due to lawlessness. Banks have reached a point where they cannot take risks; there is only one reason for this, and that is unlawful behavior.

The existing unemployment will unfortunately increase; the cause of all this is lawlessness. This is why people are in the squares to object to this; these young people do not want to be on the list of unemployed university graduates.

They are here to prevent the wrong decisions made regarding their future... Our fragile economy has been turned upside down. All of this is because of one day of lawlessness. The rise of foreign currency means corruption.

Law, law, law, constitution, constitution, constitution... Everyone must abide by the constitution. They do not want the reality of a country where young people have lost hope to be discussed. They commit lawlessness so that you do not talk about these things. They want us not to hold them accountable for this bad picture.

You are the boss of this state, and when it is managed poorly, there is nothing more natural than using your rights through democratic means. During the election time, on March 31, you reflected your reaction in your votes.

A shadow cast over the national will will disrupt democracy. Protecting your will is your most natural right; no one can take it from you.

It is not a choice but a necessity for everyone who complains about bad management and all opposition circles to come together, which is why we are here to seek our rights together. We are here to stand side by side and get rid of the evils.

Do not be afraid at all; as Ankara, we are here, standing tall.

Governments come with elections and go with elections; if you trip up Mayor Ekrem, whom you believe to be a rival, the people will respond to this. In the earliest possible election, I hope these lawless acts will be reflected at the ballot box.

On the 23rd, we will go to the ballot boxes and cast our votes; this is also a democratic decision. The result that emerges from here will be a great lesson to those who commit injustice.

We have nowhere else to take refuge but the law and justice. I hope Mayor Ekrem will also be with us as soon as possible.

I hope that by joining hands, we will change this bad management.
