Mansur Yavaş to Şaban Sevinç: 'He is doing his best to stir up trouble in the party'

Claims that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu would be the presidential candidate, with Mansur Yavaş and a female candidate serving as vice presidents, have dominated the political agenda.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yavaş responded to the claims put forward by journalist Şaban Sevinç that "Mansur Yavaş will become Vice President."
Stating that "they are doing their best to stir up trouble in the party," Yavaş added, "There is nothing else to say."
"THE PARTY'S RULES ARE CLEAR"
Speaking to İsmail Saymaz from Halk TV, Mansur Yavaş denied the claims, saying, "We have no knowledge of such a thing. We should have knowledge of it, right? The party's rules and the statements of the chairman are clear."
Suggesting that Şaban Sevinç is 'stirring up the party,' Mansur Yavaş said the following:
"Who are these five people; they need to explain. Are five people making the decisions? The CHP is a party that has surpassed a century... How it makes decisions is clear! Its rules are clear. Şaban (Şaban Sevinç) has apparently taken on a task for himself. He is doing his best to stir up trouble in the party. That is how it appears. There is nothing else to say."
WILL HE ATTEND THE CHARTER CONGRESS?
Responding to the question of whether he would attend the Charter Congress, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor said, "I will attend, but I will observe. We will abide by whatever decision the party makes at this moment." Stating that he would not submit a proposal to the congress, Yavaş added, "As a mayor, we do not have such a duty. The party boards will do it themselves."
'EVERYONE NEEDS TO TALK TO EACH OTHER'
When reminded of the meeting between İmamoğlu and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu last week, Yavaş said, "Everyone needs to talk to each other. Communicating through the press, of course, leads nowhere but to harming the party. The dialogue must continue."
