Marble block falls on construction worker in Kayseri
A construction worker lost his life at the scene after being struck by a marble block that fell from a freight elevator at a high-rise construction site in Kayseri.

A workplace accident at a 13-story construction site in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri has resulted in the death of 55-year-old F.C. The incident occurred today around 5:00 PM at the construction site on Demirci Street in the Alsancak neighborhood.
While workers were performing tasks on the ground floor, one of the marble blocks being transported from the exterior of the building via a freight elevator fell for reasons yet to be determined. F.C., who was working on the ground, was trapped under the heavy marble block and sustained fatal injuries.
Upon notification, health and police teams arrived at the scene shortly after. Their initial assessment confirmed that F.C. had passed away. The body of the unfortunate worker was transported to the Kayseri State Hospital morgue for an autopsy following the completion of the necessary investigations.
The police have launched an investigation to determine how the workplace accident occurred.
