Martyred soldier's father bids farewell: 'My soldier son, may he be a sacrifice for the homeland'

Infantry Contracted Private Mustafa Uslu, who was martyred during the Operation Claw-Lock, was laid to rest in his village in the Bayat district of Çorum. The martyr's father bid a heartfelt farewell, saying, "My soldier son, may he be a sacrifice for the homeland." Protocol members and numerous citizens attended the funeral ceremony.

Infantry Contracted Private Mustafa Uslu was martyred on Thursday, February 20, in a clash with members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Operation Claw-Lock region. The body of 24-year-old Martyr Mustafa Uslu was brought to Merzifon Airport by military aircraft late last night. Received by his family and protocol members, the remains of Mustafa Uslu were then taken to his hometown of Çukuröz village in the Bayat district for the ceremony. After requests for blessings were made, a ceremony was held for Martyr Mustafa Uslu. Following the funeral prayer performed after the noon prayer, Martyr Mustafa Uslu's body was laid to rest in the village cemetery.

Mustafa Uslu, who was known to be single, had his siblings Recep, Ramazan, Döndü, and Fatma Uslu, his mother Keziban Uslu, his father Sadık Uslu, and family relatives shed tears by the coffin. Martyr Mustafa Uslu's father, Sadık Uslu, cried out, "My soldier son, may he be a sacrifice for the homeland." Çorum Governor Ali Çalgan, who approached the grieving father Sadık Uslu as he walked with difficulty, kissed him on the forehead.


HE DID NOT ABANDON HIS POSITION UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT


On the other hand, it was learned that Infantry Contracted Private Mustafa Uslu did not abandon his position and fought until the last moment despite visibility dropping to 5 meters due to fog against terrorists attempting to infiltrate the base area in the Operation Claw-Lock zone. It was also reported that 3 terrorists, assessed to have carried out the attack, were neutralized by Turkish soldiers while attempting to flee shortly after the incident, ensuring that Uslu's blood was not left unavenged.


The funeral ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Zekeriya Çoştu, Çorum Governor Ali Çalgan, AKP Çorum Deputies Oğuzhan Kaya and Yusuf Ahlatçı, Çorum Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın, military personnel, protocol members, and numerous citizens.
