Martyrs commemorated in Azerbaijan on the 4th anniversary of the 2nd Karabakh War
September 27 was observed as "Martyrs' Remembrance Day" in Azerbaijan on the 4th anniversary of the 2nd Karabakh War. Visits were made to martyrs' cemeteries and prayers were offered. President Aliyev visited the Victory Park.

Various events were held across Azerbaijan for "Martyrs' Remembrance Day." On September 27, the day the 2nd Karabakh War began, Azerbaijanis flocked to martyrs' cemeteries.
In Baku, relatives of the martyrs and citizens who came to the Second Alley of Honor left flowers on the graves and offered prayers. Visitors were unable to hold back their tears at times.
Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov also visited the martyrs' cemetery with the command staff. During the ceremony at the cemetery, which Hasanov also attended, the Azerbaijani National Anthem was played. A minute of silence was observed for the martyrs at 12:00 local time.
ALIYEV VISITED THE VICTORY PARK UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the Victory Park, which is currently under construction in Baku, to inspect the progress.
Aliyev laid flowers at the entrance of the park in memory of the martyrs.
A total of 2,908 Azerbaijani soldiers were martyred in the 2nd Karabakh War. September 27, the date the war began, was declared "Martyrs' Remembrance Day."
