Massive FETÖ operation across Turkey: Nearly 1,000 detention warrants issued

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that a large-scale operation has been conducted across Turkey as part of investigations into the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). Gürlek reported that 968 suspects are being targeted in the operation, which is being carried out simultaneously in 81 provinces.

SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 81 PROVINCES

Making a statement on his social media account, Gürlek stated that the operation is being carried out under the coordination of the Offices of the Chief Public Prosecutor, the police, and the gendarmerie forces.

Gürlek stated, "This morning, as a result of joint efforts carried out by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the Police, and the Gendarmerie Forces in our 81 provinces, a large-scale operation covering 968 suspects has been launched to expose the organization's clandestine structure and dismantle its connected elements."

In the continuation of his statement, Gürlek used the following expressions:

"I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed President, who strengthens our determination with his leadership in this great mobilization of purification carried out by all institutions of our state. I thank our Minister of Interior, Mr. Mustafa Çiftçi, for the support they have provided in ensuring strong coordination in this righteous struggle of ours.

We will never allow any terrorist organization or focus of tutelage to threaten the survival of our state, our legal order, and the will of our beloved nation! On this path we walk with the vision of the Century of Turkey, no power will be able to prevent us from reaching the goal of a strong Turkey.

We have not forgotten the treacherous coup attempt of July 15. I commemorate with mercy our dear martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland, our flag, our democracy, and our national will 10 years ago, and I remember our heroic veterans with gratitude.

We will protect the legacy of our martyrs, the sacrifices of our veterans, and the will for independence of our nation until the end."
