Massive illegal betting operation in 15 provinces: 3 billion TL haul
In simultaneous operations coordinated by the Ministry of Interior and centered in Mardin across 15 provinces, an illegal betting network with 3 billion liras in identified financial transactions was dismantled. Of the 32 suspects detained during the operation, 15 have been arrested and sent to prison.

The Ministry of Interior has carried out one of the largest financial operations in the history of the Republic targeting illegal betting and the crime of establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes. Months of meticulous tracking by the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) and Cybercrime Departments, along with the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and the Nusaybin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, brought a massive criminal network to light. In simultaneous raids launched from Mardin and conducted in 15 provinces, including Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, an organized network that generated illicit gains through illegal betting sites and acted as intermediaries for the transfer of these funds was dismantled.
MASAK REPORTS REVEAL SHOCKING FIGURES: 3 BILLION TL TRAFFIC
The most striking detail in the background of the operation was the financial scale reached by the criminal organization. As a result of in-depth examinations conducted by MASAK on the bank and digital accounts of the suspects, a massive 3 billion TL in total money movement was detected in the accounts of the cyber betting gang. It was determined that the network members, who victimized citizens by facilitating illegal betting through websites, had established an organized money transfer network to hide and launder the proceeds of their crimes.
32 DETAINED, 15 ARRESTED
In simultaneous raids carried out in the provinces of Mardin, Diyarbakır, Adana, Hatay, Ağrı, Giresun, Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Manisa, Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Ordu, and Mersin, 32 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, 15 were arrested by the court and sent to prison, while judicial control measures were applied to 7 suspects. It was reported that the statements and judicial proceedings for the other suspects in custody are ongoing.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that the fight against digital terror and virtual gambling will continue with determination, and congratulated the gendarmerie units, MASAK experts, and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office that carried out the operation.
