Materials falling from crane in Yüreğir cause death of two workers
Two workers were killed after being trapped under construction materials that fell from a tower crane at a construction site in the Yüreğir district of Adana. An investigation into the incident has been launched.

In the Atakent neighborhood of Adana's central Yüreğir district, construction materials being transported by a tower crane at a housing project site caused a tragic accident. After a cable snapped, the iron basket loaded with materials fell to the ground.
THE WORKERS WHO LOST THEIR LIVES
Workers Tahir Çeri (41) and Erdal Sağır (51), who were trapped under the falling construction materials, died tragically at the scene. Upon notification by witnesses, 112 Emergency Health and police teams were dispatched to the area.
TEARS OF RELATIVES
Medical teams confirmed that both workers had lost their lives. Relatives of the deceased workers, who rushed to the construction site upon hearing the news, were overcome with grief and tears. The relatives engaged in an argument with site personnel, which led to a scuffle. Police teams intervened to calm the tension.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Following the incident, the bodies were transported to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute. The Adana Police Department has launched an investigation into the accident, and the causes of the incident are currently being examined.
