Founded by Ali Nesin in 2007 to conduct high-level mathematics studies, the Nesin Mathematics Village is going through difficult times due to rising costs. Prof. Dr. Ali Nesin, manager of the Nesin Foundation and founder of the Nesin Mathematics Village, stated in a social media post the other day that the Mathematics Village is facing a loss of 10 million TL due to increasing costs.
In his post, Nesin said, "According to our projections, the Mathematics Village will incur a loss of 10 million liras in 2024. Since we don't have any savings, we cannot afford to lose money, but we could raise prices, yet I am ashamed to do that. This means that in this country, you cannot even do good without losing money. In other words, doing good is left only to the rich." Ali Nesin explained that they have no options other than taking out a loan or raising prices.
