Mayor hospitalized and placed under observation!

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün sought medical attention yesterday evening due to complaints of an upper respiratory tract infection.

Ergün, who experienced an allergic reaction to a medication used during his treatment, was kept under observation for one night and is expected to be discharged during the day.

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün fell ill due to an upper respiratory tract infection and sought treatment at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital. After showing an allergic reaction to a medication during his treatment there, Mayor Ergün was admitted to the hospital for observation and placed under care.

Mayor Ergün, whose condition is improving, is scheduled to be discharged today. In a statement regarding the matter, the Chief Physician's Office of Manisa CBÜ Hafsa Sultan Hospital stated, “Our Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün presented to our institution on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, around 18:00 due to an upper respiratory tract infection he was suffering from. An allergic reaction developed against one of the medications administered for treatment. Our mayor, who received immediate initial intervention, was subsequently admitted to our hospital for observation. Our mayor's general health condition has returned to normal, and his discharge in good health is planned for today.”
