Anadolu Birliği Partisi Bursa Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Atilla Subaşı stepped out of his official vehicle to visit young people holding an event in the square in the Santral Garaj neighborhood of the central Osmangazi district.

Subaşı met with the youth and joined them in a traditional dance for the Nevruz celebrations. However, shortly after, the VIP official vehicle he had arrived in began to catch fire. Although citizens participating in the program tried to intervene, the vehicle experienced intermittent explosions. Bystanders, who barely managed to save themselves, reported the situation to 112 emergency teams. Upon the report, numerous fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Firefighters quickly intervened to prevent a disaster.

"I DECIDED TO DANCE, 5 MINUTES LATER THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE"

While initial investigations determined that the fire was caused by an electrical fault, the vehicle fire, from which citizens narrowly escaped, was captured on camera moment by moment.

Making a statement after the cooling efforts were completed, mayoral candidate Atilla Subaşı said, "We came here to the youth event as part of election campaign activities, just like every mayoral candidate. I had just joined the dance, and while we were in the program, we noticed the vehicle had caught fire. How could this vehicle burn in 5 minutes?"
