Mazlum Kobani: 'Öcalan’s call was to the PKK, not directly for our region'

Ferhat Abdi Şahin, codenamed "Mazlum Kobani," one of the ringleaders of the YPG/PKK terrorist organization, said, 'Mr. Öcalan’s call was to the PKK, it was not directly for our region. Establishing peace between the PKK and Turkey will also have an impact on our region.'
Participating via video conference in a press conference held at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., the capital of the USA, Kobani said regarding the call, “Mr. Öcalan’s call was to the PKK, it was not directly for our region. He sent the message he sent everywhere to us as well.”
Emphasizing that the message from PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan is a positive development and a call for peace, Kobani added that if implemented, democracy in Turkey would further develop.
Continuing his speech, Mazlum Kobani said, “The relationship and the establishment of peace between the PKK and Turkey will also have an impact on our region. If this process is successful, it will have a positive effect on us, and Turkey will have no excuse left to attack our region. Because Turkey attacks our region using the PKK as an excuse."
