The trial of 22 defendants regarding the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation President and Hacettepe University faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Ateş, conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, will begin on July 1.

During this period, Ayşe Ateş, who has been making visits and statements to ensure her husband's case is concluded as soon as possible, most recently visited AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan.

Following the meeting held at the Palace, Ateş, who shared a post on her social media account stating that she had taken an important step in her journey to seek justice, received support from Sinan Ateş's sister, Selma Ateş.

Sharing a photo taken during Ayşe Ateş's visit on her account, Ateş commented on the image as follows:

"A handful of women, we succeeded.

The end of the road is in sight.

For 18 months, we couldn't even grieve; you trampled on our pain.

You killed my brother, you didn't even respect his dead body.

Yet, every time, we said we only want Justice, emphasizing it over and over...

Those we called great men of the cause were afraid to even offer condolences for the sake of their positions.

Was it worth it?

I hope the Sinan Ateş issue will be a great lesson for everyone in this country."
