Meetings and demonstrations banned for two days in Ağrı
The Ağrı Governor's Office has announced that all types of meetings, demonstrations, sit-ins, press statements, protests, rallies, tent setups, signature campaigns, stand openings, concerts, and festivals that may be held throughout the province have been banned for two days.

In a statement issued by the Ağrı Governor's Office, it was noted that various actions and events are being organized by certain political parties, unions, and non-governmental organizations due to events occurring both nationwide and globally. It was emphasized that such events are also used as a form of action by terrorist organizations and provocative groups.
The statement expressed that in order to protect public order and general health, prevent the commission of crimes, and ensure the safety of citizens' lives and property, all types of actions and events within the provincial borders of Ağrı have been banned from 00:01 on October 13, 2024, until 08:00 on October 14, 2024.
The Governor's Office statement said, "In accordance with Articles 17 and 19 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911 and Article 11 of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442, all types of audio and visual activities and similar actions that may be organized throughout the province, excluding events deemed appropriate by the Governor's Office and District Governorships, have been prohibited."
Furthermore, it was stated that regarding the "Freedom Rally" planned to be held in Diyarbakır, individuals and vehicles traveling from Ağrı to participate in this event will not be permitted to enter or exit the provincial borders.
