Former Habertürk executive and presenter Veyis Ateş and social media influencer Taner Çağlı have been detained as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

A new wave of operations continues in the comprehensive drug investigation being carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Most recently, an operation was conducted in Istanbul by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's narcotics teams.
VEYİS ATEŞ AND TANER ÇAĞLI IN CUSTODY
Within the scope of the operation, former Habertürk executive and presenter Veyis Ateş and social media influencer Taner Çağlı were apprehended and taken into custody. It has been learned that the suspects' processing at the gendarmerie is ongoing.
A video that Taner Çağlı had filmed with former Habertürk Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was previously arrested as part of a drug operation, had also resurfaced following the investigation. In the video in question, Çağlı had introduced Ersoy with the words, "We are with one of Turkey's most trusted private individuals."
