Melania Trump, wife of US President Donald Trump, made a statement at the White House regarding public allegations linking her name to Jeffrey Epstein, who was previously accused of child abuse and running a sex trafficking ring.

Emphasizing that she had no connection to Epstein, Melania Trump stated that she found the claims that she was aware of his crimes to be completely baseless.

Melania Trump said, "The lies that link me to the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein must end today. Those who lie about me lack ethical standards, humility, and respect. Trump also addressed the US Congress, emphasizing the necessity of holding a public hearing focused on the victims of the crimes committed by Epstein. This call from the First Lady was closely followed by social rights advocates.

Meanwhile, Epstein was found dead in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial on charges of sexually abusing many girls under the age of 18 and establishing an organized sex trafficking ring.
