Melih Gökçek doesn't hold back: İmamoğlu is a primary school graduate, he needs to go to the military

Former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek has claimed that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma will be revoked and his mayorship will be terminated. Not stopping there, Gökçek alleged that İmamoğlu is only a primary school graduate.

The diploma investigation concerning Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate hopeful Ekrem İmamoğlu continues to remain on the agenda.

Following comments by Cem Küçük, a columnist for the pro-government newspaper Türkiye, who pointed to March 17 and stated, "It looks like İmamoğlu's diploma will be revoked on Monday," former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Melih Gökçek made the same claim.

As discussions regarding İmamoğlu's diploma continue, former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek, who has been commenting on social media, issued a series of statements. Gökçek took his claims as far as alleging that Ekrem İmamoğlu is only a primary school graduate.

Regarding the diploma, Gökçek said, "Once his diploma is revoked, aside from not being able to be president, his mayorship also falls. Ekrem needs to go to the military. When Ekrem goes to the military, his mayorship will be terminated due to absenteeism."
