Melike Şahin kept teachers waiting for 3 hours at a concert organized by the IMM at Feshane and cancelled the concert with the excuse of wind.
"THE DISRUPTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME"
Making a statement regarding the issue, Şahin said, "I am very sorry. Our Feshane concert tonight has been postponed. I swear I waited in readiness until the very last moment. There was a lot of wind, and both the municipality and my team found it risky for our safety. Yet, I had missed my concerts so much and this evening was going to be special. This disruption has nothing to do with our teachers or me, but I still apologize for this disappointment."
IMM REFUTES: 'SHE WAS NOT CONVINCED TO GO ON STAGE'
In a statement made on the X platform, the IMM Culture Department refuted Melike Şahin's claims, stating, "Dear teachers, despite all our efforts to express that there was no wind problem for hours and all the assurances we provided, we had to postpone the concert because Melike Şahin's team was not convinced to go on stage. In line with your requests, we will be with you with another artist. We apologize to you very much. We are very sorry."
