New details have emerged in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting celebrities.
Examinations of famous actress Melisa Döngel's mobile phone as part of the investigation have concluded.
According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Sabah, the report prepared by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command allegedly identified drug-related correspondence belonging to Melisa Döngel.
Following examinations of the phone's gallery, messages, and social media accounts, 43 people were detained in operations targeting 'drug dealers' in 2 provinces, including Istanbul.
It was determined that the detained suspects were trading drugs through social media platforms, primarily the messaging application Telegram.
In the correspondence added to the investigation file, it is alleged that Melisa Döngel sent a message to a person named Mert A. asking, "Buddy, do you have a coke dealer?" to procure drugs.
In her correspondence with a person named Ekrem K., it is claimed that the famous actress used the phrases "Need coke, urgent buddy," and when the other party asked, "How many?" she replied, "3 units."
According to the allegations, in a correspondence with Mustafa B. included in the file, the other party allegedly warned Döngel by saying, "Don't save it wrong, he's not a dealer."
In another conversation allegedly reflected in the file, it is claimed that Buket K. shared information about a special substance brought from Miami, and Döngel responded by saying, "I want some too, me too."
On the other hand, it was among the allegations that the phone examination was not limited to message records. It is claimed that images in the device's gallery were also examined, and numerous photos and screenshots were reached that allegedly point to the use or possession of narcotics or stimulant substances.
Among the images stated to have entered the file, it is alleged that there were photos of setups with rolled-up money on a plate, which are claimed to reflect the preparation stage for drug use.
Furthermore, it is claimed that some photos in which Döngel's face is visible and which were allegedly taken during substance use were added to the file as digital evidence. It was also among the allegations that the gallery contained close-up images of substances claimed to be cocaine and cannabis.
