Member elections for commissions on preventing child abuse and infant deaths published in the Official Gazette

The election of members to the parliamentary research commission for the protection of children from all forms of violence, neglect, and abuse, and for their development, as well as the commission investigating infant deaths occurring in certain private healthcare institutions, has been published in the Official Gazette.

With the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) decisions published in the Official Gazette, members were elected to the parliamentary research commission established to determine the measures that must be taken to protect children from all forms of violence, neglect, and abuse, and to ensure the development of their mental, spiritual, and physical health.

According to the decision, in the commission consisting of a total of 22 members, AK Party Aksaray Deputy Cengiz Aydoğdu was elected Chair, AK Party Kocaeli Deputy Radiye Sezer Katırcıoğlu was elected Deputy Chair, AK Party Giresun Deputy Nazım Elmas was elected Spokesperson, and MHP Çankırı Deputy Pelin Yılık was elected Secretary.

Furthermore, for the parliamentary research commission established to investigate in all its aspects the infant deaths occurring in certain private healthcare institutions, and to examine the practices and legislation of private healthcare institutions regarding their neonatal, pediatric, disabled, and elderly care services to determine the necessary measures, Adıyaman AK Party Deputy İshak Şan was elected Chair, Uşak AK Party Deputy İsmail Güneş was elected Deputy Chair, Istanbul AK Party Deputy Ümmügülşen Öztürk was elected Spokesperson, and Adana MHP Deputy Ayşe Sibel Öztürk was elected Secretary. The commission will consist of a total of 22 members.
