Following the postponement to June 30 of the lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress and 21st Extraordinary Congress, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu filed a criminal complaint against journalist Nevşin Mengü and academic Emrah Gülsunar, who made notable statements regarding the process.

In the petition submitted to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, accusations of "insult" and "slander" were made against Mengü and Gülsunar.

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu broke his silence following the claim brought up by journalist Nevşin Mengü regarding the congress investigation, which suggested that "the file would be closed if he gave a statement."

In a statement on his social media account, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he had received threats, saying, "I am addressing those who threaten to hang me from poles or shoot me with a gun: Anyone who fears you is a coward."

Kılıçdaroğlu ended his new post regarding the congress investigation with the following expressions:

We must walk without deviating from the true agenda of this nation.

We must lean on the public, not the personal; on the truth, not gossip.

I am a politician who speaks to the public, not through polemics.

And everyone who knows me knows: If there is a reality, I never refrain from expressing it without bending or twisting it, without hesitation, and with an upright stance.

To those who will hang me from poles,

to those who will shoot me with a gun,

to those who will burn me, stone me,

to those who will not let me take a step and to the sycophants: Anyone who fears you is a coward.

I am addressing everyone here who is waiting for a message from me:

Let everyone know; we are capable of drowning the enemies of this party within the 'harem-i ismet' (sanctuary) of this party."

MENGÜ'S 'HAREM-I ISMET' ASSESSMENT

Nevşin Mengü made another striking assessment based on the latest post by former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Mengü drew attention to the term 'Harem-i İsmet' and wrote the following:

"Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded to the allegations against him with a long tweet. The last sentence is striking:
