IYI Party Chair Meral Akşener spoke at the Atatürk Sports Hall in Ankara as part of her party's 6th-anniversary event, where she was set to share the Democratic National Rise Declaration.
During the 6th-anniversary celebrations, Akşener appeared on stage with Aykırı Editor-in-Chief Batuhan Çolak, who was released yesterday.
Starting her speech by addressing Israel's attacks on Gaza, Akşener also reacted to the date of the rally organized by the government, stating, "Those who stand by murderer Netanyahu, put an end to this injustice, genocide, cruelty, and oppression immediately. I am addressing those who govern Turkey; holding a rally is fine, but I wish you had done it a week ago. It is a sin and a shame to turn this into domestic political material. The goal should be to ensure that Turkey acts with common sense to put an end to the Gaza tragedy."
"You fools who try to position us alongside the US and Israel," Akşener said, adding, "I am the only person in this country who has been threatened by the Chinese Ambassador for speaking up for the Uyghurs and being their voice under your administration."

Celebrating the 6th anniversary of her party's founding, Akşener stated, "In defiance of those who said the IYI Party wouldn't last 6 months, we have been standing for 6 years. We are a huge family in defiance of those who want us to disappear, and we are 6 years old. We did not spend these 6 years easily."

In defiance of those who expect us to cower and give up, we are here today, we are 6 years old. We did not spend these 6 years easily. We did not sit idly by like some others. We traveled our country from corner to corner.
They didn't give us halls, we walked on the streets; there were times we didn't even have a podium, but we didn't give up, we climbed onto chairs and still met with our nation.
We withstood lies and slanders. We never had chairs we clung to. We never had negotiations in pursuit of positions.
While one side labels us ungrateful, the other labels us ignorant. These lands are free and are not anyone's deeded property. No one can expect us to bow down. No one can divide or segregate us. No one can belittle us because of our political choices, because sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation."
