The young woman and her family, who were murdered by her husband whom she was in the process of divorcing in Afyonkarahisar, will be laid to rest following a funeral ceremony to be held at noon. Another heartbreaking detail of the incident is that they will be buried in the cemetery located 50 meters from their home, which they saw every day. In the incident that occurred last night in the Uğur neighborhood of the Çayırbağ town, Mert Muharrem T. (25) went to the family home where Havva Nur T., whom he was in the process of divorcing, was staying, wanting to see his child.
However, an argument broke out between the parties for an unknown reason. When family members also became involved in the argument, Mert Muhammet T. opened fire with a pump-action shotgun on his ex-wife Havva Nur T., her father Adem Şenol, her mother Cemile Şenol, and her grandmother Emine Tanış in the middle of the street. Mert Muhammet T. fired approximately 10 shots at the family members and fled the scene. Following the incident, the family members, who were taken to the hospital by ambulance by 112 Emergency service teams that arrived in the area upon notification by those nearby, could not be saved despite all interventions.
The murder suspect, Mert Muhammet T., who fled after the incident, was captured by the gendarmerie following a pursuit in a shack where he was hiding near the village of Kışlacık, which is connected to the city center.
