CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned, shared a message regarding Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who was released today after 148 days.
İmamoğlu wrote the following:
"It is gratifying that a release decision has been issued for Mr. Ümit Özdağ.
In a country where the rule of law prevails, there is no judicial harassment of politicians, and politics cannot be designed with the stick of the judiciary.
We expect this decision to be applied to all political prisoners as well."
