Message from Mustafa Bozbey, currently in custody, to the protest held in front of the municipality: We will continue together

Following the detention of Mustafa Bozbey, a protest was held in front of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. A letter sent by Bozbey was read during the protest.

In the letter he wrote addressed to Bursaspor fans, Bozbey called for support for the team's match this weekend and emphasized the goal of winning the championship.

In the letter he sent to the Republican People's Party organization, Bozbey gave a message of struggle and solidarity, stating the following:

"My dear Republican People's Party family, we have achieved many successes together and we continue to do so. You have been fighting for justice, democracy, and freedom for years, and you have been filling the squares. Surely, the justice, democracy, and rule of law that this country deserves will be established. We will continue this struggle together. As a member of the Republican People's Party, I wholeheartedly believe that it will ensure this. Starting with our esteemed Chairman Özgür Özel, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all our administrators and provincial chairs, including all our provincial chairs like Özgür Çelik who did not leave us alone. I would like to thank our women's branches, youth branches, and the soldiers of our organization. These days will surely pass. We will continue to stand tall and serve this country. Believe me, everything will be more beautiful than yesterday, and I embrace you all with love."

Mayor Bozbey noted the following addressed to the people of Bursa:

"I had the honor of serving you as the Mayor of Nilüfer for 20 years. It has been exactly two years since March 31, 2020; with your invaluable support, I was elected with your votes to serve all 17 districts of our Bursa.

Since that day, we have continued to work for Bursa, day and night, with our 15,000 employees to solve the problems that have accumulated in Bursa for years. Our excitement to make Bursa an exemplary and leading city with the services we will provide to Bursa and the people of Bursa continues as it was on the first day.

As Mustafa Bozbey, I say, 'I am your Bozbey.' Those who know me and know my past know that there is no account that I, my family, and my friends cannot give.
