Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced the net minimum wage for 2026 as 28,075 TL.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made a post regarding the minimum wage, which remained below the inflation rate announced by TÜİK.

Özel wrote the following:

"The AK Party announced the minimum wage, which concerns millions of workers, as 28,075 liras with a 27% increase.

Today, the official hunger threshold is 30,000 liras.

For the first time in our history, the minimum wage has been announced below the hunger threshold.

We warned them repeatedly and demanded 39,000 liras, which is the workers' right. But the AK Party, trapped in halls, did not hear the voice of the street and declared today that 2026 will be a year of misery.

In this country, there are passage guarantees for the wealthy who operate airports, bridges, and roads, but there is no livelihood guarantee for minimum wage earners!

This is the dark order of the AK Party!

Let no one be mistaken. The sole person responsible for this figure, for this disgrace, is Mr. Erdoğan.

Erdoğan, to whom 25.1 million people said 'go' by signing, and who is making millions of workers hang their heads in shame at this very moment, can no longer run from the ballot box.

Since 2026 cannot be a year of livelihood

2026 is an election year!!!"
