Message from President Erdoğan on the fight against FETÖ: We will work to ensure such events do not happen again

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a message to the 'Symposium on the 10th Anniversary of July 15 with its Political and Legal Aspects,' organized as part of the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt.

In his message to the symposium held at the AKP Headquarters, Erdoğan pointed to the importance of addressing the July 15 uprising in all its aspects.

President Erdoğan expressed his hope that the evaluations to be made at the symposium would strengthen unity and solidarity.

Stating that he commemorates the 253 people who lost their lives on the night of July 15 with mercy, Erdoğan also thanked the veterans and wished them a healthy and prosperous life.

'REPELLED BY THE RESISTANCE OF THE PEOPLE'

In his message, Erdoğan stated, "The true intention of this network of betrayal, which exploited the sincere feelings of our nation for 40 years by saying 'service,' 'charity,' and 'education,' was revealed on the night of July 15." Stating that the coup attempt was repelled by the resistance of the nation, Erdoğan expressed that this was the beginning of a new era for Turkey.

President Erdoğan stated that Turkey has both purged itself of the FETÖ structure and taken steps to strengthen democracy, emphasizing that the Presidential Government System has accelerated decision-making processes and increased crisis management capacity.

'WE WILL WORK WITH ALL OUR MIGHT'

Emphasizing that there will be no step back in the fight against FETÖ, Erdoğan said, "We will continue our fight within the framework of the law against this network of betrayal that acts as a subcontractor for the enemies of Turkey. We will work with all our might to ensure that new July 15s do not occur."
