In the message published by the Ministry of National Defense regarding the 8th anniversary of Operation Euphrates Shield, it was stated: "On the 8th anniversary of Operation Euphrates Shield, in which we dealt a major blow to terrorist organizations in Syria, especially DAESH, we proudly salute our Turkish Armed Forces and our heroic Mehmetçik, and we wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and a healthy, happy, and long life to our veterans."
