Message from the Ministry of National Defense to Greece regarding the islands: Obligations arising from treaties must be upheld

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has issued a statement regarding Greece's arming of islands with non-military status.

The Ministry called on the Athens administration to comply with its obligations arising from treaties. The statement emphasized that steps that could negatively affect peace and stability in the region should be avoided.

In the MSB statement, it was noted, "Our expectation is that Greece will refrain from such activities that could harm peace and stability in the region and will comply with its obligations arising from the treaties."
