Message from the new mayor of Sarıyer Municipality: Thank you

In the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, Mustafa Oktay Aksu was elected the new mayor of Sarıyer with 51.50 percent of the vote. Aksu offered his thanks to his supporters during the election period. 

Aksu's statement is as follows:

"We won together, we will govern together

I heartfully thank my Sarıyer neighbors who demonstrated the will to carry our Sarıyer and our Istanbul to a stronger future; the guardians of democracy who protected the votes in schools and at the Supreme Election Council until the first light of morning without blinking an eye; and my fellow travelers in the Republican People's Party who powerfully conveyed our party's people-oriented policies to the public in the field, and our Sarıyer organization. We are coming for a new beginning with a management approach that does not close its office on the 5th floor of the municipal building to its people, but turns its face to its people on the streets of Sarıyer. We won together, we will govern together.
