Message of security and peace from Istanbul Governor Gül

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Istanbul Deputy Governor Nail Anlar, Istanbul Police Chief Selami Yıldız, Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant General Yusuf Kenan Topcu, Coast Guard Marmara and Straits Regional CommandRear AdmiralSerkan Tezel and his accompanying delegation visited the July 15 Martyrs Bridgeto inspect the police teams on duty and congratulate them on the newyear. Greeting citizens passingthrough the bridgeto celebrate the new year, GovernorGul offered chocolates.he stated.

"As public officials, we have taken all measures to ensure our fellow citizens in our cityenter the new year in peace,and we have taken all precautions."

Making statements after thevisit, Governor Gül includedthe following remarks in his speech:

"Hopefully, next year will be a year in which oppression is eliminated worldwide, starting with Gaza.On this occasion, our freelyWe pray for God's mercy upon our martyrs who made it possible for us to live, and we wish our veterans health, well-being, and prosperity. We congratulate our fellow Istanbul residents on the new year. As publicofficials, we have taken all measuresto ensure our fellow citizensin our city enter the new yearin peace. The police, gendarmerie, coast guardare on duty.All our colleagues, starting withsecurity and migration management,are currently in the field 24/7. We have 1,661 inspection points. We have 725 land vehicles and 37 maritime units. Together with our 4 helicopters and 50,427 colleagues, we are workingto ensurethe safety of ourfellow citizens. WAll our hospitals continue to provide24/7 healthcare services. At 340 stations, 1,304 medical personnel continue to provide 112 emergency health services. Similarly, AFAD, AKOM, the fire department, and municipal police continuetheir work. Our Provincial Directorate of Agriculturepersonnel,consisting of813 of our colleagues, are conducting food inspections in the field. The Provincial Directorate of Tradeis also continuing its work.Our directorateisconducting inspections in the field with 90 personnel regardingexorbitant prices, primarily, as well asevery issue that could negatively affect the quality of life of our fellow citizens. Our colleagues on duty are working, primarily regarding electricity, water, natural gas, communication, outages, and malfunctions, to ensurethat ourare at their posts.Regarding the expected snow, our snowfighting teams are at their posts.Our highways, metropolitan,anddistrict municipalitiesare keeping trafficopen.continuing their work regardingthe opening. Ourinspections regarding noise will continue until morning. On this occasion, startingwith our colleagues in the field, wethank everyone who contributesto makingIstanbul safer.I would like to thank all our fellowcitizens.
