Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, in a post shared from his Presidential Candidate Office account following the announcement of the YKS placement results, congratulated the young people who were placed in universities and drew attention to the opportunities offered to students coming to Istanbul.
İmamoğlu stated, "Our students coming to Istanbul are awaited by scholarships, dormitories, libraries, internships, part-time work opportunities, project support, and countless cultural, artistic, and sports events. The bright young people of this country have only one need, and that is to be given an opportunity."
Stating that the opportunities they provide to students as a local government will be turned into a state policy, İmamoğlu shared the following message:
"No young university student will face housing problems or fall behind in their education due to financial difficulties. Our universities will once again become institutions respected worldwide. And most importantly; diplomas will not be documents devalued by instructions or political motives. On the contrary, they will once again become respected references with prestige in business and academic life."
İmamoğlu concluded his statement with the words, "We will continue to stand by our youth."
