CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu sent a meaningful message to the youth from Silivri, where he remains in detention. Emphasizing his belief that young people will shape Turkey's future, İmamoğlu supported their determination in the social struggle.

In a statement made via social media, İmamoğlu used the following expressions:

'Dear Youth;

You were the first to break down the walls of fear. You were the first to rebel against the mindset that steals your future and your hopes, that ignores your will, and that does not respect you.

The spirit of the times is calling you. With your intelligence, your sincerity, your high sense of justice, your spirit that shatters prejudices, and your solidarity, you will lead this beautiful country into the light in the near future that will belong to you and embrace everyone.

I am standing tall here in Silivri. These conspiracies, lies, and deceits do not affect me in the slightest. Let them not affect you either.

The young people who have been detained or arrested during this process are our youth. You are our pride. We will prevent the harm intended for you together, and we will stand by you and our families to the end.

'THEY KNOW THEY WILL LOSE TOO'

I said this struggle is a long, stony, dusty, and rugged road. We have overcome the biggest obstacle. Do not pay attention to the ambitious, aggressive words of a handful of people who cannot even face the public. They know they will lose too. The path of democracy and the Republic is the path of our nation, and our nation will win, the youth will win, and a handful of people will lose.

History will write about you, youth! You will make history, you will be an example to the world!

DO NOT FORGET!

OUR ROAD IS LONG, OUR EXCITEMENT IS HIGH, WE HAVE OUR YOUTH!

WE ARE THE TURKISH YOUTH THIRSTY FOR JUSTICE.

WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

THE NATION IS GREAT.'
