Message to Zorlu from Atatürk-foe Bölükbaşı: 'From now on, when we say stand up, you will stand up...'
The party switch of Kürşad Zorlu, who transferred from the IYI Party to the AKP, has become a subject of debate both on the political stage and on social media. Zorlu's joining the AKP after entering Parliament with the votes of opposition voters has drawn reactions from various segments.

Furkan Bölükbaşı, known as one of the social media accounts close to the AKP, made a post on the social media platform X containing harsh expressions regarding Zorlu's party change.
In his post, referring to Zorlu, Bölükbaşı stated, "We said come, and you came. From now on, when we say stand up, you will stand up. When we say sit down, you will sit down. When we say speak, you will speak. When we say be quiet, you will be quiet. It has become clear who is who."
This post also brought back to the agenda the social media argument in the past where Zorlu insulted Bölükbaşı by calling him a "shoo dog."
Zorlu's party change was criticized not only on social media but also in legal and political circles. Lawyer Ruşen Gültekin evaluated Zorlu's transition to the AKP with the words, "A political ethics law must seriously be enacted. The nation is tired of being deceived."
While the debates created by party transfers regarding their effects on voter will and political ethics have come to the agenda once again with Zorlu's situation, the demand for a political ethics law has also begun to be voiced again.
