In an informational message sent to all its customers, İş Bankası included the following statements:
Fraudsters attempt to persuade or manipulate individuals by instilling fear, posing as lawyers, prosecutors, police officers, public officials, bankers, or insurance agents. These individuals may even use the names of institution employees to gain trust.
The bank does not have any special accounts created under names such as "secure" or "under protection."
No public institution or bank requests money transfers from customers under the pretext of account security.
It was emphasized that one should absolutely not trust individuals who request customer passwords, one-time confirmation codes, or personal information for any reason.
